Experimental Phase

About The Painting Drops

Drop #1

The late days of summer and the start of fall is one of my favorite times of year - full of nostalgia and some of my favorite weather. When painting the first drop for Experimental Phase paintings, I wanted to capture this unique season's vivid and evocative colors. The palette of yellows, oranges, greens, and mauves celebrates nature's transitional beauty.

The golden hues of late summer evoke a sense of warmth with their inviting tones. The brighter yellows offer a sense of bold vibrancy, while the more muted yellows create a feeling of coziness and tranquility.

The addition of mauves adds depth and mystery to the composition, highlighting the delicate balance between the fading vibrancy of summer and the impending serenity of autumn.

These paintings explore the interplay of colors and change, translating the ephemeral nature of seasons onto paper. These paintings celebrate the sense of wonder and appreciation for the subtle yet remarkable transformations that occur as summer embraces fall.
